Louise Deleur
Louise
graduated from the Australian Ballet School in 1985 and chose to
work with the West Australian Ballet Company before moving to Sydney
to work with Sydney Dance Company. Louise then left the company
to become a freelance dancer and choreographer working in the more
commercial side of theatre.
In 1998 Louise decided to continue her study of dance and took
several sabbaticals to New York to retrain in classical, contemporary
and jazz as well as the Pilates Method of rehabilitation. Louise
returned to Australia to be guest artist with West Australia Ballet.
In 2001 Louise returned to New York and was then offered a guest
teaching position in Classical Ballet with Taipei National University
of Arts for two consecutive years as well as guest teacher at Taiwan
International Dance Summer School. Louise now resides in Brisbane
and continues to teach and choreograph in Classical and Contemporary
techniques.
