National Code 30430 QLD - 1 Year Full Time

This course is designed for students wishing to train in performance in the classical/contemporary field.  Majors are:

• Classical Ballet (Technique, Repertoire, Pas de Deux and Pointe)
• Contemporary (Technique, Repertoire, Modern Partnering and Composition)
• Minor: Jazz (Technique).

• Plus Allied Academic Subjects such as:
• Health Science (Anatomy, Applied Anatomy, Diet Nutrition, Safe Dance)
• History of Dance
• Communications
• Personal Career Management
• Music

Students are accepted on completion of Year 10 Schooling (Queensland), its equivalent or 15 years of age and over.

Special consideration may be given to students with advanced academic standing at an earlier age or  who have obtained appropriate consent to complete compulsory schooling through distance education and all those with limited training who show exceptional potential.

To achieve the qualification students must successfully complete all Core Units and the required Elective units component for a qualification or provide sufficient, valid evidence to support granting of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), including Mutal Recognition / Credit Transfer.
