Company Profile

Entrance of ADPIThe Director, Barbara Eversen, is a Dual Examiner of the Royal Academy of Dance, London, and travels extensively examining and teaching students and teachers. Her lifetime goal is to instil in her students the passion for, enjoyment from and love of, dance.

Miss Eversen was offered the Brisbane Dance Centre in 1991 and has developed it into a major dance educational institution. She believes that dancers require a sound education as well as excellent dance training so that they can be an asset to their future employers. Our students combine their intensive dance training with academic studies.

With expert advisors Barbara developed the Advanced Diploma of Art (Dance Performance & Musical Theatre) full time courses offered now.  Australian Dance Performance Institute P/L has been continually offering its accredited course/s since 1993. Every five years, the course/s undergo a major review in consultation with the industry to ensure that the training is relevant to the current needs of graduates seeking career entry into various positions in the performing arts sector. Australian Dance Performance Institute P/L aims to provide cutting edge professional training for its students in line with its mission of providing its students with an "education of a lifetime".

Our faculty training experts have years of experience in the industry and they look forward to passing on their wealth of knowledge, expertise and passion of dance to all students who are fortunate to be accepted.

Many former talented students have through their training at Australian Dance Performance Institute P/L, received at the institution gained contracts with world renowned companies. Teaching graduates also run successful schools or teach in other dance studios nationally and internationally.

In 2002, Brisbane Dance Centre became the Australian Dance Performance Institute P/L. We welcome students nationally and internationally who have the physicality/talent, desire, commitment, and discipline to strive to achieve their performing arts life goals.

We are located a short distance from Brisbane City and are close to public transport (train & bus). Studios are spacious and fully equipped and their is a separate lecture area for academic studies.
