Code of Practice

Prior to enrolment in a recognised course/training program participants will be provided with a copy of the Code of Practice.

  1. Legislative Requirements The organisation will operate within the bounds of all relevant legislative requirements of State and Federal governments that safeguard the educational interests and welfare of participants.

  2. Australian Quality Standards Framework (AQTF) As a registered provider of training delivery and assessment services, ADPI P/L must comply with the requirements of the AQTF Standards for Registered Training Organisations and the Vocational Education Training and Employment Act 2000 (Queensland).  As a Registered Training Organisation, ADPI P/L is subject to audit under the AQTF.

  3. Access and Equity  Australian Dance Performance Institute Pty Ltd is committed to meet the needs of individuals and the wider community through the application of access and equity principles and practices.  All students will be treated in an ethical and responsible manner and selection decisions will comply with equal opportunity legislation. 

  4. Quality Management Focus  ADPI P/L undertakes to implement quality management policies, processes and practices including sound administrative and financial management practices and continuous improvement, in accordance with the Australian Quality Training Framework Standards for Registered Training Organisations.  We value feedback from students, staff and industry for consideration and incorporation into future programs.

  5. Client Service  Recruitment of participants will be conducted at all times in an ethical and responsible manner in accordance with entry requirements, proficiencies and aspirations of participants.  ADPI P/L has sound management practices to ensure effective client service, including timely issuance of student assessment results and qualifications.  These will be appropriate for competency achieved and issued in accordance with national guidelines.  Student information will ensure that all fees and charges are known to students before enrolment, that course content and assessment requirements are explained and that vocational outcomes are outlined.

  6. Training and Assessment  The organisation has personnel with appropriate qualifications and experience to deliver the training and facilitate the assessment relevant to the courses offered.  Assessment will meet the requirements of Standards 8 and 9 of the AQTF Standards for Registered Training Organisations (including Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfer).  Adequate facilities, equipment and training materials will be utilised to ensure the learning environment is conducive to the success of trainees.

  7. Marketing and Advertising  Marketing will be undertaken with integrity, accuracy and a professional approach.   In the provision of information, no false or misleading comparisons are drawn with any other provider or nationally recognised course / qualification.  The requirements for use of the Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) Logo will be adhered to.

  8. Refund of Fees. Refund of participant’s fees will be made in accordance with the organisation’s refund policy (See Refund Policy)

  9. Grievances, Complaints and Appeals. A fair and equitable process for participant grievances, complaints or appeals will be provided.  In the event of grievances, complaints or appeals not being able to be resolved internally, advice on accessing the appropriate legal body will be offered to participants.  (Refer Grievance, Complaints and Appeals Procedures)

  10. Mutual Recognition ADPI P/L accepts that mutual recognition of nationally recognised qualifications and Statements of Attainment applies nationally and is critical to the operation of a nationally consistent vocational and education training system under the Australian Quality Training Framework ensuring decisions in relation to vocational education and training have national effect.

  11. International Students  ADPI P/L will be bound by the Education Services for Overseas Students (RC) Act 1999.

  12. Sanctions This Code of Practice will be upheld by Australian Dance Performance Institute Pty Ltd T/A Brisbane Dance Centre, which organisation is aware that if obligations stated herein or regulatory requirements where applicable, are not met, Registered Training Organisation status may be withdrawn.
